Ironvale Legends
Ironvale Legends is a proper mobile RPG, not a stat-grinding treadmill dressed up as one. You build a party of four, each with distinct roles, and the turn-based combat rewards planning your turn order rather than mashing the strongest skill. Enemy telegraphs are clear, so hard fights feel like puzzles you can solve.
The writing caught me off guard. There's a melancholy running through the main quest about a kingdom that's already lost, and the side characters get real arcs instead of fetch-quest filler. Voice work is limited but the text carries it well.
On the technical side it runs smoothly and respects your time. Auto-battle exists for trash mobs, boss fights demand your attention, and progress saves cleanly if you close the app mid-dungeon.
